We are delighted to announce that the government has given the green light for us to go ahead with The Racing Pigeon Show. We will be ready to welcome you again to enjoy this special event.
The organisers are working hard to ensure the event is safe for everyone attending. We have all followed all up to date guidelines and have undergone COVID safe certified training. Please regularly check this page as this it will be updated with any government updates as and when available so that every one can have a safe and enjoyable experiance. Here’s the current situation.
Events from June 21st will be able to take place as normal with no additional measures. The venue and ourselves have however updated our own safety measures.
masks and distance
Masks are no longer mandatory and there is no requirements for a way way system around the venue. Please adhere to the current legal requirements when inside the building. Hand sanitising facilities will be available throughout the venue for your frequent use.
PAYMENTS
Doncaster Racecourse is a cashless venue and are now only accepting contactless and card payments at the restaurant and bar areas. Currently the venue has amended their catering to pre-packaged items only.
Trade stands will however be accepting cash. We will now also accept cash on the door for entry.
ARRIVING
We have introduced arrival times as a guide to enable fewer people waiting at the entrance and to speed up your entrance into the show in an organised manner. The venue will ensure plenty of queuing space to allow visitors to socially distance if necessary dependant on government advise at the time.
extra cleaning
The venue already maintains excellent housekeeping and are carrying out regular deep cleans as well as an increased cleaning regime during the show. The racecourse was specifically selected by the government for trials on reopening events during COVID.
contact details
Upon booking your tickets we will collect your name, address and contact details. We may need these for track and trace or to contact you to update any changes that may occur. Current updated guidelines now allows on the door entry so tickets will now be available on the door.
once inside to show
Inside the venue there will be increased ventilation. There will be hand sanitisers at the entrance points. We no longer need to introduce any one way systems.
Frequently asked questions
If the show is cancelled due to government COVID guidelines we will contact and your ticket can be transferred to a contingency date set for 2023. Of course you could also request a refund for your ticket in these circumstances.
Current government guidelines are clear that a mask no longer needs be worn inside the event.
However please feel free to wear one if you so wish!
We will contact you directly and offer you the chance to reschedule to a contingency date in Spring 2022 or you may have a refund.
There are no requirements to check vaccination certificates or provide a test before entry. As from June 21st entry should be ‘like normal’. As you would have pre-booked your tickets we can contact you if nessesery to advise of any changes should they come into place.
Doncaster Racecourse is open for events and has been pivotal to the reopening of venues in the UK and has worked closely with the government in the reopening of indoor events.
